Valora to optimize supply chain processes
Leading Swiss convenience retailer to replace space planning solution with Relex to improve and optimize forecasting and replenishment processes.
Swiss convenience retailer Valora has selected Relex Solutions for space planning and forecasting and replenishment capabilities, to enhance availability and reduce waste.
Valora has 15,000 employees, 2,400 convenience stores, 3,400 SKUs and two distribution centres across Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. Valora is also one of the world’s leading producers of pretzels.
Valora will be replacing an existing space planning solution with Relex, in concert with adding forecasting and replenishment capabilities for a unified approach to store planning, store operations, and supply chain.
“With stores across several countries in several types of formats like railway stations, airports and urban areas, customer demand is quite specific within each, offering unique challenges. We needed a more sophisticated way to accurately forecast demand and replenish and plan store assortments appropriately,” said Dirk Mühlhäuser, CIO of Valora.
Valora anticipates improving availability across a diverse range of assortments at each convenience store location, increasing margins, and decreasing food waste through the implementation of an advanced, AI-drive forecast accuracy and replenishment automation.
