Vietnam's Petrolimex to start accepting card payments
Cashless payments will be available for customers at Petrolimex petrol stations starting August 1.
This comes after Petrolimex (Vietnam National Petroleum Group), National Payment Corporation of Vietnam (NAPAS), and Petrolimex Group Commercial Joint Stock Bank (PG Bank) signed a cooperation agreement that will allow customers to pay at Petrolimex stations using a valid ATM card that belongs to one of the 41 member banks of the NAPAS.
The use of ATM cards also offers quick and safe transactions, better fuel expenses management, and access to rewards programs.
“With the aim of building a system of modern and civilised petrol stations, the cooperation with NAPAS is a significant programme for Petrolimex to enhance service quality at petrol stations, improve management and transparency, and help customers make payments quickly and easily,” said Bui Ngoc Bao, Chairman of the Management Board of Petrolimex, in a company release.
Vietnam has currently 3,175,136 cars and 48,354,710 motorbikes, a large number of which use Petrolimex petrol.
