Walmart Mexico enters gas station business
Walmart de México y Centroamérica (Walmex) is set to roll out petrol stations alongside its retail stores in Mexico.
During the first phase of the launch, six fuel stations will be opened in Walmex stores in the Mexican states of Tabasco, Nuevo Leon, Veracruz, and Mexico.
The gas station venture complements Walmex retail business and offers its customers a complete shopping experience, said Gabriela Buenrostro, Deputy Director of Corporate Communication, Walmart de México y Centroamérica.
“Walmart of Mexico and Central America remains firm in its vision of contributing to improving the quality of life of Mexican families, helping them save time and money," added Buenrostro.
