Yesway undertakes major c-store acquisition in Texas
Yesway has acquired 13 Chisum Travel Center and Fast Stop convenience stores in Texas as part of its target to reach a 500-location chain in the United States over the next several years.
The Chisum c-store portfolio, which brings Yesway’s stores in Texas to 52, represents the second of three major Yesway portfolio acquisitions scheduled for this quarter.
Of the 13 Chisum stores, two are located in Lubbock and the rest are single store locations in Amarillo, Friona, Dimmit, Littlefield, Shallowater, Olton, Hart, Brownfield, Floydada, Ropesville, and Iowa Park.
"We have always been attracted to the Texas market and continue to evaluate numerous portfolios and individual store acquisitions in the state," stated Thomas W. Brown, Yesway's Director of Acquisitions.
Yesway (BW Gas & Convenience) now owns 116 stores in Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas, aiming towards reaching 150 stores within the next four to six weeks.
