ABB E-Mobility to support ASKO's truck charging network
The agreement covers maintenance, monitoring and operational support for charging infrastructure serving ASKO's growing electric truck fleet across Norway.
ABB E-Mobility and Norwegian grocery wholesaler ASKO have signed a service agreement covering the operation, maintenance and support of charging infrastructure used by ASKO's electric heavy-duty transport fleet.
The partnership aims to support the reliability and availability of charging assets as ASKO continues to electrify its logistics operations. The company operates around 700 trucks supplying more than 1,800 grocery stores across Norway, making charging infrastructure an increasingly critical component of its distribution network.
Under the agreement, ABB E-Mobility will provide ongoing monitoring and maintenance services for the charging network, allowing ASKO to focus on transport operations while ensuring charging equipment remains operational.
The companies have collaborated on charging infrastructure since 2019. During that period, ABB E-Mobility's chargers have delivered more than 20 GWh of energy, including 5.5 GWh over the last 12 months. The network has expanded to more than 60 high-power charging points across seven Norwegian cities.
Most recently, ABB E-Mobility installed its A400 high-power charger at an ASKO logistics facility. The system can deliver up to 400 kW and is designed to support the charging requirements of heavy-duty electric vehicles.
