Żabka’s Froo reaches 100 stores in Romania in one year
The group's modern convenience brand rapidly expands with one new store every three days.
Froo, the convenience store concept launched by Poland’s Żabka Group, has opened its 100th location in Romania, just one year after entering the market.
The milestone cements Froo’s status as one of the fastest-growing retail formats in the country and highlights its rapid rise in Romania’s evolving convenience landscape. Since launching, the chain has gained strong traction among Romanian consumers thanks to its modern, customer-centric design and flexible store model.
Froo’s expansion has been especially visible in Bucharest, Pitești, and Constanța, with stores present in both bustling city centers and residential neighborhoods.
“It’s a milestone that reflects the strength of our ambition and the dedication of our exceptional teams in Romania and Poland. While we’re proud of what we’ve achieved, we know this is just the beginning,” said Anna Grabowska, EVP Żabka Polska and Managing Director of Żabka International.
Froo’s growth is fueled by a business partnership model that empowers individuals to run their own store while benefiting from the expertise and infrastructure of Żabka Group.
Independent retailers also have the opportunity to convert their existing shops into Froo locations, gaining access to a proven business concept and the brand’s operational support.
