Amazon Go c-store to open in London
Amazon is planning to open a number of its futuristic, checkout-free convenience stores in London, UK.
London´s traditional convenience stores could soon have a new competitor as Amazon is reportedly looking at locations to open Amazon Go stores, reported the Sunday Times.
The online retailing giant opened its first Amazon Go store near its base in Seattle. The innovative new model allows customers to purchase their products without passing through a counter – sensors track customers and their purchases, discounting the price from their Amazon accounts as they leave.
While it offers customers the advantage of saving time and effort, it also boosts retailing margins significantly by taking out labour costs.
