Amazon Go opens second unmanned store near Seattle Central Library
Amazon has opened its second cashierless Amazon Go convenience store, which is located again in Seattle, Washington.
The 1,450-square feet store, near the Seattle Central Library at 920 Fifth Ave., offers ready-to-eat food options, quick snacks, Amazon Meal Kits, and fresh food supplied by Amazon Kitchen, reports The Seattle Times.
Like the first Go store, it is equipped with cameras, sensors, and Amazon’s technology that monitors products taken out of the shelf and charges customers’ purchase through Amazon Go mobile app without the need to pass through a checkout counter.
The downtown store is open only on weekdays, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., catering more to customers around the area, reports TechCrunch.
More Amazon Go stores are planned for Chicago and San Francisco.
