Galp Energia turns design of Tangerine stores, butane canisters into art competition
Portugal’s energy company Galp Energia said in a statement issued June 4 that it has completed a special artistic competition in which it had called earlier this year for participants to come up with the best design for the Tangerina convenience stores in its fuel network as well as for the design of the butane canisters.
“Prizes for the completion of art, design and advertising Galp Create were delivered in the Fashion and Design Museum, Collection Francisco Capelo, in Lisbon, and there is in the plans an itinerary show,” the company said.
The country’s national designers association and the Portuguese marketing association were the jurors in the contest. Winners were offered prizes between 1,000 to 5,000 euros as well as trips to Cannes, France, with a ticket which gives access to the international advertising festival.
Over 300 proposals were received from participants all over Europe. The Galp Energia website has a display of the entries.
Tiago Natividade won the art contest. Liliana Delfina won the design contest, Galp said.
