Gulf targets 120 service stations in Argentina by end of the year
The brand expects to reach 2% of the market share by expanding into more forecourts and facilities throughout the rest of the year.
Four years after Gulf started to partner with local entrepreneurs in Argentina, the brand keeps gaining momentum and expects big achievements by the end of this year. The company aims to reach a total of 120 fuel retail sites as well as revamping its convenience store business.
According to a report by local news site surtidores.com.ar, the firm is advancing on its expansion strategy and plans to up the scale in its retail operations. It currently owns 1,45% of the market share and aims to grow up to 2% by the end of 2022.
“Throughout the year, we continued to flag and open new outlets. So we will end the year with more than 120 points of sale identified between stations and Agros. In addition, the network will end the year with more than 30 Gulf Stores 100% remodelled to offer customers a proposal updated to current times and demands. In parallel, we are detecting very good results with growth in the higher-margin categories such as coffee and food in stores that have already migrated to the new format," said Eduardo Torrás, General Manager of DeltaPatagonia, in dialogue with the news site.
In addition, Gulf continues its development in the country with its “Identidad Gulf” program. The initiative involves a training plan for entrepreneurs and their employees to be informed of the brand’s culture in the nation, with a strong focus on putting the customer at the centre of operations.
Another important aspect of this program is its campaign “Tiempo de Ganar”, an annual competition among service station operators that will let the best ones participate in a unique Formula 1 experience at the next Grand Prix in Sao Paulo.
