Puma Energy revamps convenience stores in Argentina
The fuel retailer deployed its Super 7 brand of stores to extend services and retail offerings at stations in the country.
In the last year, Puma Energy has launched a new concept for convenience stores at its service stations in Latin America: Super 7. This new brand seeks to meet customer needs with a renewed strategy focusing on different formats, site designs, products and service offerings.
Mauricio Baigorria, Convenience Store Manager at Puma Energy, recently spoke to the Argentine media Surtidores about the new stores and its differential for customers. The retailer has now integrated these stores into more than 200 stations in Central America.
"Our customers, if they are comfortable, choose us as 'a meeting place', so we reinforce a large indoor consumption space depending on the size of each store with different alternatives: tables and chairs, a living area, connectivity bars and communal tables, also providing for an outdoor garden area. We must satisfy our customers' needs: being 'comfortable' in a pleasant environment makes the difference," said Baigorria to the news site.
The company representative said that three store formats have been deployed in Argentina. First is Super 7 Premium, integrating a complete offer with elaborated meals, hot beverages and large dining spaces; then Super 7 Café, which contains a wide range of products with a focus on coffee and fast food; and Super 7 Kiosco, a complete kiosk with a basic offer of products for quick service.
In addition, Puma Energy developed a local brand for another store segment, called Shopexpress. A practical, elegant and warm outlet, with a lower level of investment but a complete offer as well.
There are currently over 120 store projects for Super 7 and Shopexpress, many of which are in their construction phase. The company’s challenge is to decide which brand is best suited for each location.
