Indonesia: Pertamina to develop digital payments for stores alongside Bank BJB
Both parties signed a MoU to provide banking solutions to their clients as well as develop new technologies for its Pertashop stores.
Pertamina and Bank BJB have signed a cooperation agreement to develop different services for its Pertashop stores. Through its Pertamina Retail subsidiary, both parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding last week to work side by side in providing banking solutions to their clients.
"The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding or MoU between Pertamina Retail and bank bjb which aims to provide support for banking services in terms of business cooperation synergy. It is possible that other businesses will be included in the cooperation agreement," said Yuddy Renaldi, Director of Bank BJB.
The authority stated that the companies will continue to collaborate and cooperate with various parties to encourage business performance. He was accompanied by Rahman Pramono Wibowo, Finance Director of Pertamina Retail, and Bambang Wijanarko, Operational Director of Pertamina.
Apart from improving the bank’s brand image, its director explained that the association also implies a collaboration in developing business cooperation, which includes digitalization of payments and Pertashop services.
Together with the Digital Banking Division, Bank BJB is currently exploring a business cooperation plan with Pertamina Retail where later bank bjb will join the Bright network owned by Pertamina Retail so that bank bjb customers can transact on the Bright EDC machine.
In addition, there is the potential for Cross Selling. This collaboration opens up opportunities that currently exist, including Cash Management Service, Payroll Service, Retail Credit (KGB), Commercial Credit, Micro Credit, DPLK, and other banking services.
