The digital signage displays have been installed at 25 Reitan-owned Narvesen stores aimed to provide in-store advertising for consumer brands. There are plans to install 40 more displays by the end of the year, according to Digital Signage Today.

The Smart Signage network is made of three displays--18 pieces 22-inch DB22D; 3 pieces 32-inch DM32E; and 4 pieces 40-inch DB40E.

The system allows the retailer to have a greater control over content, which is managed on Samsung's Signagelive cloud platform. The content is then delivered to displays via LAN.

Different formats such as images, video, HDMI inputs, IPTV, web pages, RSS feeds, and QR codes are supported by the system.

Reitan has also worked with technology solutions company Hansab for the provision and installation of the digital signage.

"Narvesen staff now have total control over their network and Signagelive's new proof of play module gives them the ability to show major brands the effectiveness of their campaigns by generating reports on captured data in an easy to understand format," said Hansab sales project manager Dovydas Stuka.
