Netherlands: Tamoil offers clean ‘blue diesel’ at its service stations
Tamoil launches fossil-free diesel at eight gas stations in the Netherlands for the first time.
Friesland is the first Dutch province to offer Blue Diesel B100, a sustainable and fossil-free alternative to diesel that reduces CO2 emissions by 89 percent. Tamoil has introduced the new fuel at eight of its sites.
Blue Diesel B100 is an HVO, a Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil, which is produced entirely from renewable and sustainable raw materials. The fossil-free diesel is manufactured by Neste in Rotterdam from waste and residues.
The festive opening was made possible through the cooperation of Future Fuels and Tamoil Nederland. Together these companies have more than 200 years of experience in the Dutch fuel market.
Blue Diesel B100 is already available at the Tamoil petrol stations in Drachten, Leeuwarden, Marrum, Winsum (Fr.) and Suameer.
