Orlen Deutschland has introduced digital receipts across more than 600 Orlen and star fuel stations in Germany, completing the rollout in under five weeks as part of a broader effort to modernize its retail operations. The system allows customers to access receipts via QR code at payment terminals, offering a fully digital option alongside traditional paper receipts.

The implementation covers over 10 million monthly transactions and includes functionality for both individual customers and fleet accounts. Receipts can be retrieved after purchase through a digital archive, reducing the need for customer support requests and simplifying access to transaction records.

The initiative, implemented using a single integration in partnership with refive, aims to improve the customer journey while maintaining compatibility with existing infrastructure. The rollout required no hardware changes and enabled the company to deliver consistent digital services across its entire network, including compliant e-invoicing for business users.

Andreas Trost, Chief Financial Officer of Orlen Deutschland, said: “With the move to digital receipts, we are making the experience at our fuel stations faster, more digital and more sustainable for everyone who fills up with us.”

Orlen is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Polish multi-energy group ORLEN S.A. and part of the international ORLEN Group, operating more than 600 stations on the German market.
