Oxxo brings local conservation products to Mexican stores

The agreement will expand market access for goods produced in Mexico City’s Conservation Land, connecting local producers with Oxxo’s retail network.

Oxxo has signed a collaboration agreement with the Mexico City government to support the commercialization of products originating from the capital’s Conservation Land (Suelo de Conservación) through its convenience store network.

The partnership involves the city’s Secretariat of Environment, Secretariat of Economic Development, and the Commission for Natural Resources and Rural Development. The initiative aims to create new sales channels for local producers while promoting economic development in rural communities located within Conservation Land areas.

According to the Mexico City government, Conservation Land covers nearly 59% of the capital’s territory and plays a key role in providing essential environmental services and natural resources for residents.

Armando Novoa, Corporate Affairs Manager at Oxxo Mexico, said the agreement will help bring products from local producers to a wider audience. “These initiatives are aimed at ensuring that our presence in Mexico City also translates into opportunities for those who produce and create value there.”

The program seeks to strengthen the relationship between environmental conservation and economic activity by creating opportunities for residents who live and work in these areas. Through Oxxo’s retail footprint, locally produced goods will be able to reach more consumers across Mexico City.
