Moving from a CPO-as-a-Service model to full charge point operation, the parking operator will migrate more than 800 charge points after a successful transition in the Netherlands.

Q-Park is moving around 120 charge points in Ireland and more than 700 in Germany onto GreenFlux’s charge point management system (CPMS). Both national units are leaving a CPO-as-a-Service model to operate as full charge point operators. They will use GreenFlux’s CPMS, digital services and managed roaming.

The expansion builds on the 2024 migration of Q-Park Netherlands, which brought around 1,700 EVSEs onto the platform. Under the new model, Q-Park keeps control of pricing, billing and energy management in its car parks. The company named smart charging, integration with external vendors such as payment and energy management providers, and accurate invoicing and reimbursement among the reasons for its choice, together with uptime and service levels.

“We have full trust in both migration processes as well as enabling daily operations through the GreenFlux CPMS back end,” said Peter Mertens, Head of Real Estate & Energy Services at Q-Park.

For drivers, existing charging cards and apps will keep working, since managed roaming connects the sites with eMobility service providers. GreenFlux reports 99.8% uptime across previous migrations involving more than 35,000 charge points.

“The successful migration of Q-Park Netherlands laid the foundation for extending our partnership into Germany and Ireland,” said Freerik Meeuwes, Director Sales & Operations at GreenFlux.

Q-Park manages more than 1.2 million parking spaces in over 5,500 facilities across the Netherlands, Germany, France, Belgium, the UK, Ireland and Denmark, with around 3,500 employees.
