Q8 Italy launches new store concept ‘Svolta’
With digitalisation and sustainability at the core, ‘Svolta’ debuted in two Q8 stations in Florence and Roma, and will be further introduced in 30 Q8 branded sites next year.
Kuwait Petroleum Italia, a subsidiary of Kuwait Petroleum International (Q8), is launching a new concept store at its Q8 branded service stations with digitalisation of services and sustainability at the core. Named ‘Svolta’, the new format was already introduced in two locations in Florence and Roma, and will be further rolled in 30 Q8 sites across Italy during 2021.
“The new retail chain [Svolta] was created to meet the needs of those who need a break during their travel and are looking for a modern, welcoming, pleasant and smart place where they can enjoy a good coffee and find the right energy to continue with their trip,” states a company’s press release.
Svolta will offer a wide range of take-away food & beverage products, articles dedicated to car and motorbike care, travel and home basics, and pets.
The stores feature sustainable materials such as eco-friendly conclad, ecological poplar chipboard produced in Italy and 100% recyclable PVC.
"Svolta not only serves those who stop at Q8 fuel stations, but it is also a shift towards expanding our offer and meeting the needs of customers on the move," said Marketing Director of Q8, Gherardo Bisi.
Q8 is one of the main Italian players in the energy sector, with a network of approximately 2,800 service stations distributed throughout the country.
