Qatar: Wodoq to open 30 new sites in 2018
Qatari fuel retailer Wodoq will open 30 new petrol stations including 15 mobile sites in the Gulf country during 2018.
Wodoq has announced a capital expenditure budget of QR816 million ($222mn) for new projects, including the addition of 30 new fuelling sites.
The plans was announced by Woqod chief executive officer Saad Rashid al-Muhannadi after a meeting of the company’s board of directors presided over by chairman Ahmad Saif al-Sulaiti on Wednesday, reports the Gulf Times.
The Qatari retailer has set the target of 122 petrol stations by 2022. For that purpose, the company will award tenders in the first quarter of 2018 to build another 18 sites, explained al-Muhannadi.
Wodoq’s CEO explained they had an ambitious plan to increase its share in the market for distribution and transportation of petroleum products, gas, bitumen, bunker fuel, oils and lubricants through the construction and operation of the various projects.
