Qatari drivers able to pay with credit card at Wodoq stations by 2018
Wodoq to allow users to pay for fuel using debit and credit cards across Qatar by 2018.
Wodoq’s chief executive officer, Saar Rashid al-Muhannadi, revealed on Wednesday that the company would be accepting card payments.
“Woqod is in the process of accepting debit and credit cards for fuel sales at petrol stations by the end of this year,” he said.
The company currently operates and owns 58 service stations in the Gulf country. In addition, 13 stations are under construction and 12 under the tendering and designing stage.
Woqod is planning to increase the number of petrol stations to 83 by the end of 2018 and 120 by 2022, reports the Gulf Times.
