Scheidt & Bachmann and anybill partner on digital receipts for fuel retail
Collaboration aims to transform the point of sale into a digital touchpoint for customer engagement and retail media.
Scheidt & Bachmann and anybill have announced a new partnership aimed at enhancing customer communication and loyalty directly at the point of sale.
The collaboration focuses on turning receipts into a strategic digital touchpoint for customer relationship management (CRM), loyalty programs, and retail media. By integrating anybill’s digital receipt technology with Scheidt & Bachmann’s SIQMA Connect platform, operators will gain new tools to convert anonymous transactions into personalized customer interactions.
Jörg M. Heilingbrunner, CEO of Scheidt & Bachmann Energy Retail Solutions, emphasized the strategic potential: “Our goal is to expand the point of sale in the fuel station environment to a digital service platform. Digital receipts play a central role in turning anonymous purchases into real customer relationships. With anybill, we are driving this development forward quickly and flexibly.”
The joint solution enables retailers to present loyalty offers and targeted retail media content through digital receipts, using transaction data captured at checkout. This approach allows promotions to be tailored dynamically without additional effort from staff, and fully in compliance with data protection regulations.
“Loyalty and data-driven marketing are more important than ever in the fuel & convenience sector,” said Lea Frank, Co-Founder and CEO of anybill. “With Scheidt & Bachmann at our side, we provide operators with easy access to modern CRM, loyalty, and retail media solutions directly at the POS.”
The collaboration reflects a growing trend among fuel retailers to explore digital infrastructure not only for operational efficiency but also for marketing and loyalty initiatives. With open APIs and a flexible integration model, the solution is designed to support a wide range of retail media applications and loyalty frameworks, positioning the point of sale as an active space for customer retention rather than just a transaction endpoint.
