Shell’s fifth LNG station in Germany
Kirchheim/Teck location is Shell’s first LNG station in south-west Germany.
Shell continues the deployment of LNG filling infrastructure in Germany with the opening of its fifth LNG filling station in the country, reports Gaz-Mobilité. Located in Kirchheim/Teck, Baden-Württemberg region, the new location is Shell’s first LNG site in south-west Germany.
Kirchheim/Teck Shell LNG station can refuel up to 150 heavy-duty vehicles per day.
The opening of the Kirchheim/Teck LNG station comes just a few weeks after the rolling out of Shell Thüringen LNG station, which was launched at the end of July.
With the aim of deploying 40 LNG stations across Germany by the end of 2022, Shell will work on expanding its network in the coming months. Next Shell LNG stations will open to the public in the autumn season in Weinsberg, Kassel and Stuhr near Bremen.
