Spain’s fuel consumption rose in 2014 for the first year in seven
Consumption of vehicle fuel in Spain in all of 2014 was 25.5 million tonnes, or 1.4% more than in the previous year in what was the first annual increase following sex years of consecutive year-on-year declines, according to official data from the agency Cores (Corporacion de Reservas Estrategicas de Productos Petroliferos).
Gasoline demand fell in 2014 by 0.8% year-on-year to 4.5 million tonnes but diesel more than offset the decline with a 2% increase and a total of 20.9 million tonnes sold.
Consumption of LPG rose 4.1 year-on-year, the organization said.
