SPAR Italy Partner, Ergon, continues to grow the brand in Sicily
Ergon, one of the SPAR licence holders in Sicily, keeps growing the brand with the opening of four new stores in the space of a few weeks.
One of the four new openings is the EUROSPAR store in the town of Erice. This store has symbolic value for the local community as it enabled the revival of a neighbourhood supermarket which had been closed. The staff of the former supermarket were able to make a new start, choosing to work with DESPAR Ergon.
“DESPAR is a large family that continues to grow in Sicily,” said Concetta Lo Magno, Head of Marketing at Ergon. Opening the annual convention, she highlighted the important sales results that the DESPAR stores are enjoying in the region, having achieved considerable market share.
The new store openings on the island have seen the growth of both the EUROSPAR and DESPAR supermarket formats.
