Stewart’s Shop has reopened its store located in Sharon Springs, a village of Schoharie County, New York. As part of its investment plans for 2022, the new shop is one of 13 locations that will be rebuilt throughout the year to expand its retail footprint.

The new shop features a food bar, a beer cave and additional seating, located right in the centre of the village and across from the school. To celebrate the opening of this shop, the company hosted a grand opening celebration last Friday with a ribbon cutting ceremony and specials all day.

The retailer comes from investing approximately  $50 million during 2021 in a total of 18 expansion projects. These included five new shops and 13 rebuilt locations, as well as the purchase of six Blueox c-stores in June and the acquisition of the Red-Kap chain of stores as of late 2020.

This year, Stewart’s Shop is looking to invest a similar amount in the opening of 20 new convenience locations, with 13 of them being rebuilt projects while the remaining seven will be seven new-to-market shops throughout its marketing territory.
