Tesco adds EV charging to rewards network
Clubcard members can now earn points when charging electric vehicles through Be.EV’s network of more than 680 locations and 2,500 charging bays across the UK.
Tesco Clubcard has expanded its loyalty program to include electric vehicle (EV) charging, allowing members to earn points when using the Be.EV charging network across the United Kingdom.
Under the partnership, Clubcard users who link their Tesco Clubcard account to the Be.EV app can collect one Clubcard point for every £1 spent on charging sessions at Be.EV locations nationwide. The network operates more than 2,500 charging bays across over 680 sites, making it one of the UK's largest providers of rapid and ultra-rapid charging infrastructure.
The move extends the range of services connected to Tesco’s loyalty ecosystem, which is used by more than 24 million households in the UK. Clubcard points earned through charging can be converted into vouchers for use on Tesco purchases or redeemed with participating reward partners.
The retailer already hosts Be.EV rapid chargers at selected Tesco Express stores, enabling customers to recharge their vehicles while shopping. The new arrangement further integrates EV charging into Tesco’s customer offering as e-mobility adoption continues to grow.
