Tesla charging stations may soon look like conventional gas stations as the company mulls adding restaurants to its charging facilities.
According to Restaurant Business, Tesla’s chief technology officer JB Straubel disclosed the plan and showed an aerial depiction of a recharge center in the food tech conference FSTEC.
As people spend 20-30 minutes waiting until their Tesla electric vehicles get charged, they might as well drink coffee, eat, or use the bathroom.
Straubel, however, stressed that Tesla is not interested in managing a foodservice operation. It would rather pursue partnerships with restaurants.
