US: Free fruits for kids at Family Express stores
Family Express convenience stores are giving away free fruits to children 12 and below.
Kids visiting their store can get a free piece of pear, apple, or banana.
The Free Fruit For Kids program is part of the c-store chain’s “Better For You” initiative, which aims to provide consumers with healthy options.
“A permanent concern is that we want healthy alternatives, especially for kids,” Family Express Chief Executive Officer Gus Olympidis said in an interview with nwitimes.com.
Customers can find in the Family Express’s Cravin’ Market section healthy assortment of Greek and regular yogurts, fruit cups, vegetable trays, and more.
