USA: ZIPS Car Wash debuts in Ohio, expands in North Carolina
ZIPS grows into its 18th state with its new location in Cincinnati, Ohio. With its three latest additions in North Carolina, the company operates 29 stores in the state.
ZIPS Car Wash has announced the grand opening of its first location in Ohio, as well as of three new North Carolina stores, according to company’s separate press releases. ZIPS Car Wash’s new centres are located in Cincinnati, and in major cities across North Carolina state, including Asheville, Charlotte and Raleigh.
With its new location in Cincinnati, Ohio, ZIPS breaks into its 18th state. Starting operations in North Carolina in 2018, the company has grown in the state to operate 29 stores following the three latest additions in Asheville, Charlotte and Raleigh.
“We are thrilled to grow into our 18th state with this new location in Cincinnati, Ohio,” said Gene Dinkens, ZIPS Car Wash president. “As a company, we hope our recent growth shows our commitment to continue to expand into the multi-regional, customer-centric carwash company we started over 15 years ago,” Dinkens added.
“It’s been amazing to be a part of the growth that we’ve seen over the last two years in North Carolina,” said David Cook, regional manager for ZIPS Car Wash. “We’re now operating 29 stores in the state, and having the ability to build these new stores from the ground up gives us the opportunity to choose the latest equipment and technology in carwashing.”
In May this year, private equity firm Atlantic Street Capital announced an investment in Zips Car Wash to grow the brand to over 500 locations in the United States.
Founded in 2003 by Brett Overman, Arkansas-based Zips provides an express ride-thru tunnel wash experience at its 188 locations across 18 states in the South, Southeast, and Mid-Atlantic.
