WOQOD opens new petrol station in Qatar
Qatar Fuel petrol company opened Old Slata gas station last week raising its network to 65 sites.
Old Slata new petrol station is spread over an area of 3,500 square meters and has 4 lanes with 8 dispensers that will serve Old Slata and its neighborhood. In addition, the number of dispensers has been increased in order to enhance the service quality and reduce vehicle congestion at petrol stations.
The new petrol station offers round-the-clock services to residents, includes a Sidra convenience store, sale of LPG cylinders, in addition to sale of gasoline and diesel products for light vehicles.
WOQOD is currently working in the construction of 30 petrol station projects, and most of these projects are expected to be operational this year, Engineer Al Muhannadi explained. He added that WOQOD has currently 7 new stations in the tendering phase and 10 stations in the design phase, assuring that this month of October will witness the opening of two new fixed petrol stations in Hamad International Airport and Foxhill (Luwsail).
The petrol company is currently dismantling diesel dispensers in Wadi Albanat, Bufassaila and Rowdat Al Hamama petrol stations, and will replace them with petrol dispensers.
WOQOD also announced its intention to achieve a total of 120 fuel stations by the end of 2020.
