7-Eleven to construct new c-store in Florida
Lee County Commissioners have approved construction of a new convenience store and fuel station at the center of Pine Island, reports News Press.
The 7-Eleven new convenience store will offer 16 gas pumps at the intersection between Pine Island and Stringfellow road - a busy area, particularly during the tourist season.
Residents are glad with the addition of the fuel station but express some concern about the site configuration. A former member of the county's Local Planning Agency, Noel Andress, argued that vehicles with boats in tow would may plug the traffic.
The County will look into how to alleviate the problem when finalizing the site layout, informed News Press.
