Żabka Group, operator of one of Europe’s largest network of convenience stores, has announced its intention to pursue an initial public offering (IPO) on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW).

While the company has not yet provided specific details regarding the size or timing of the offering, reports from Bloomberg suggest that Żabka’s majority owner, the U.S.-based private equity firm CVC Capital Partners, aims to raise between $1 billion and $1.5 billion. Such a debut could potentially value the company at up to $8 billion (30.6 billion zloty), making it one of the largest IPOs in the history of the GPW.

Żabka Group operates more than 9,000 stores across Poland, positioning itself as a key player in the country’s modern convenience retail sector. Founded in 1998, the company has expanded rapidly in recent years, incorporating a range of digital and service-oriented offerings, such as parcel pick-up points and mobile payment options, to enhance its convenience model and attract a broader customer base.
