Self-storage operator ALLSAFE has launched electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at 32 of its locations across the Netherlands as part of a broader strategy to develop a nationwide charging network for both private and business users.

The company’s charging hubs are located on the outskirts of cities and near major transport routes, providing round-the-clock access to EV charging. The network includes both AC and DC chargers, enabling drivers to choose between standard and fast-charging options depending on their needs.

According to ALLSAFE, the charging stations are powered by solar panels installed on the roofs of its facilities. Battery storage systems are used to store and distribute energy locally, helping reduce reliance on an increasingly congested electricity grid while supporting renewable energy use.

In addition to serving EV drivers, the company is positioning the sites as multifunctional mobility and logistics hubs. Businesses can combine vehicle charging with parking solutions, storage services, goods handling and fulfillment operations from the same location.

ALLSAFE also says the concept is designed to support companies operating in urban zero-emission zones and those managing first- and last-mile delivery activities. By integrating charging infrastructure with logistics capabilities, the company aims to offer a more efficient solution for commercial fleets transitioning to e-mobility.
