Aral, LOGPAY expand fuel card business in Germany
Customers can now refuel and purchase electricity at all of the company’s service stations in the country via the CHARGE&FUEL app.
LOGPAY customers can now pay with their CHARGE&FUEL Card at any of Aral's 2,400 service stations in Germany. In addition, both companies intend to collaborate on the LOGPAY Pay@Pump solution MOBILE FUELING to enable digital payment via the CHARGE&FUEL app directly at the pump.
The new offering is part of the strategic partnership announced in April by Volkswagen AG as the parent company of LOGPAY and bp as the parent company of Aral. As leading firms in the automotive and energy sectors, both want to drive forward the electrification of road transport and ensure the rapid expansion of the charging infrastructure.
“The close collaboration with LOGPAY is the next logical step in the cooperation with Volkswagen. Because customers with commercial fleets in particular need a reliable energy supply - whether it's classic fuels or electricity for their e-vehicles. Together we can offer this reliability as well as ultra-fast charging," said Michael Brell, Senior Sales Manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland at bp/Aral.
The partners have been working closely together for a long time in the fuel card business for corporate and fleet customers. The common goal is to ensure that e-vehicles are suitable for everyday use for an increasing number of purposes.
In addition to the acceptance of LOGPAY cards in the international service station network of bp and Aral, which has been in place since 2018, LOGPAY also offers its customers the BP+Aral ROUTEX card in the LOGPAY design, which provides access to the Europe-wide ROUTEX network with around 24,000 service stations in 32 European countries. Together, the companies thus offer international network coverage in the car and truck segment.
