Fastned surpasses 400 fast‑charging stations in Europe
The company opened 60 new stations over the year, pushing several key markets past symbolic milestones.
Fastned has expanded its fast‑charging network to more than 400 locations across Europe, marking its strongest year of growth since the company was founded in 2012. The Dutch-based charging operator now runs 406 stations in nine countries, after adding Italy and Spain to its footprint in 2025.
The company opened 60 new stations over the year, pushing several key markets past symbolic milestones. France reached 50 operational Fastned sites in July, while Belgium and Germany crossed the same threshold in December. Fastned said the acceleration reflects rising demand for reliable high-power charging as electric vehicle adoption continues to grow across the continent.
Beyond expanding its network, the company also broadened its station concepts. A flagship all‑electric service area in Gentbrugge, Belgium, unveiled in September, showcased Fastned’s vision for next‑generation charging hubs. The company also opened its first Autobahn station in Germany and launched sites designed specifically to accommodate electric trucks.
“The future of European transport is electric, and Fastned is set to continue leading the transition as we look ahead for another huge year in 2026," said Michiel Langezaal, CEO of Fastned.
Since opening its first station in Palmpol, the Netherlands, in 2013, Fastned has hit several expansion landmarks: 100 stations by 2019, 200 by 2022 and 300 by early 2024. The company aims to grow its network to 1,000 stations by 2030.
