Stewart’s Shop debuts first hybrid EV fast charging station
Continuing with its expansion strategy, the retailer has added new fueling solutions to customers in the New York area.
Stewart’s Shop opened its rebuilt South Potsdam shop last Friday, one of the several locations that the company has been refurbishing as part of its expansion plans. The retailer kept its old facility to avoid any downtime during the construction and has now expanded its offerings to customers.
The new site offers all the amenities of a modern day Stewart’s Shop including a covered porch area with outdoor seating, a food bar and a beverage bar. But this shop also offers a hybrid EV fast charging station, the first one of its kind for the brand.
Equipped to cater to all electric vehicles, this charging station offers four Tesla Fast chargers as well as four NYPA fast chargers. The Tesla chargers will be up and running later this month and the remaining chargers will be available in Spring 2023.
Stewart’s also offers non-Tesla EV chargers in Moreau, Clifton Park, Latham and Keene. Tesla charging stations can be found at Stewart’s Shops in Ballston Spa, Chestertown, Clinton Corners, and East Rutland.
To celebrate the opening, the company held an official ribbon-cutting ceremony with special discounts on gas and products all day long. In addition, Stewart’s has confirmed it will donate $2,000 to the North Country Children’s Museum for support of their Special Events Fund to give back to the community.
