United States: TravelCenters of America acquires Illinois c-store chain
TravelCenters of America (TA) has purchased a small chain of gas stations in Illinois at TD Pete's exists the convenience store industry.
The five-store chain located in northeastern Illinois has been operating since 2000, when it was founded by Brian Rodgers and Perry Denault, reported CSP News.
“We have been blessed to employ a loyal team that represented the Shell and Dairy Queen brands with honor,” said Rogers. “We thank them both and our customers. It’s been a privilege to serve and support the communities we’ve been a part of our entire lives.”
TA has not announced the deal yet, but the latest acquisition follows a number of purchases made by the company.
TravelCenters of America has carried out an aggressive expansion campaign with the purchase of numerous stores – 150 new convenience stores during 2015.
The company now has more than 250 full-service travel centers operating under the TravelCenters of America, TA, Petro Stopping Centers and Petro brands.
