NACS Show 2026: the connected convenience agenda
Ad
At the NACS Show in Las Vegas, 6 to 9 October, Gilbarco Veeder-Root and Vontier will show what a convenience site looks like when the forecourt, the charger and the store finally run as one system.
The NACS Show is where the convenience industry decides what next year looks like. For Gilbarco Veeder-Root, a Vontier company, the 2026 edition at the Las Vegas Convention Center is the moment to bring one argument to the floor: the sites that win are the ones that connect everything.
Why connection is the agenda
Vontier's recent loyalty research gives the argument its edge. Three quarters of consumers say they are loyal to their preferred convenience brand, yet fewer than half are enrolled in a loyalty programme. The most valuable segment, drivers who visit a site more than once a week, is driven by experience, range and quality rather than price alone. Retaining them requires the same experience at every touchpoint: the pump, the charger, the kiosk and the counter. That is a technology problem before it is a marketing one.
"Complexity is increasing," says Stephen Richards, Chief Commercial Officer for Convenience Retail at Vontier, "and therefore providers that can offer a solution to that complexity, simplifying the experience, really making it seamless, is a key requirement."
What to see at the stand [GVR to confirm booth number and the final demonstration list]
At the pump: the Encore dispenser platform with FlexPay 6, the payment and media terminal that carries the same customer interface across the forecourt [GVR to confirm which Encore models are on the stand]. Energy efficiency is on the agenda too: the SpeedIQ variable-speed motor, which reduces dispenser energy use and noise by up to 50 per cent, will be presented for the North American market [GVR to confirm].
At the charger: Konect, the EV charging ecosystem built for fuel retailers, including the 400 kW All-in-One charger launched last December with FlexPay 6 integrated at the point of charge.
In the store: Passport point of sale and the Invenco by GVR retail portfolio, showing how forecourt transactions, loyalty and store operations meet in one system [GVR to confirm the in-store demonstrations].
Underneath the hardware: connected operations. Real-time monitoring, automated diagnostics and remote remediation are turning dispensers, gauges and controllers into equipment that identifies and often resolves its own issues before a technician is called.
Who to meet
Gilbarco Veeder-Root's commercial and product teams will be on the stand for all three expo days, 7 to 9 October [GVR to confirm names, and whether meeting slots can be booked in advance]. MobilityPlaza will be at the show and will publish a video report from the stand, with a LinkedIn repost, during the week of the show.
